General code of conduct

By joining and using this community (the “Site”), you accept the terms of this Community Use Agreement (“Agreement”). If you choose to accept the Agreement, you accept it as presented here, without changes. Omnicell will accept no additions, deletions, or other revisions.

At any time, Omnicell may change, add, or remove any part of this Agreement or any part of the services and features provided by this Site. If it does so, Omnicell will update the Agreement here and may also post such changes elsewhere. If these terms or any future changes are unacceptable to you, you should discontinue using the Site. Your continued use of the Site will always indicate your acceptance of this agreement and any changes to it.

Your use of this Site is also governed by the Omnicell Privacy Notice, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference and which explains how we collect, use, share, and disclose information through your use of this Site.

This Site’s community is there for everyone and is intended to provide a space for safe, respectful discussions related to Omnicell’s products, clinical use, troubleshooting, and user experiences that supports the exchange of information while complying with all applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, SEC, FTC, OCR, etc.). As such, we want to make sure that this community offers a positive experience for all visitors.  Views expressed on the Site are not endorsed by Omnicell, and this site is not a substitute for medical, legal, regulatory, or financial guidance. Omnicell does not prescreen content, including but not limited to questions, statements, images, avatars and links, submitted by users of the Site ("Submissions"). Omnicell retains the right, but not the responsibility, to edit or remove any Submission, including those deemed by Omnicell to violate the Agreement. Omnicell will make good faith efforts to investigate allegations that Submissions violate the Agreement but (a) makes no warranty to you that it will edit, remove, or continue to permit the display of any specific Submission, whether or not subject to such allegations, and (b) will have no liability whatsoever for editing, removing, or continuing to permit the display of any Submission whatsoever.

This site contains user-submitted content, comments, and opinions and is for informational purposes only. Omnicell makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of user-generated content. While Omnicell may provide or recommend responses as a possible solution based on the information provided; every potential issue may involve several factors not detailed in the conversations captured in an electronic forum, and Omnicell can therefore provide no guarantee as to the efficacy of any proposed solutions on the community forums. ANY REPORTS OF ADVERSE EVENTS, PRODUCT, OR SOLUTION ISSUES OR QUESTIONS REQUIRING TECHNICAL SUPPORT SHOULD BE DIRECTED AND REPORTED THROUGH OFFICIAL SUPPORT AND SAFETY REPORTING. THESE MATTERS SHOULD NOT BE REPORTED SOLELY VIA THIS SITE.

Omnicell disclaims any and all liability for the acts, omissions, and conduct of any third parties in connection with or related to your use of the site. All postings and use of the content on this site are subject to this Agreement.

Be friendly

Users must treat one another with respect; professional dialogue is expected. Share factual, experience‑based insights about product use, workflows, and best practices that may help others. Use clear, accurate language when describing product feedback or user experiences. Users will not post any abusive, racist, insulting, sexist, discriminatory, threatening or otherwise insulting comments, will not use coarse or abusive language, make inappropriate jokes, or otherwise harass other users. This includes Submissions with content that is libelous, defamatory, indecent, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, politically divisive or inflammatory, abusive, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or offensive in a sexual, racial, cultural, or ethnic context or otherwise illegal. Submissions that are inflammatory or inappropriate must not be submitted and will be edited or removed. Any account responsible for such Submissions may have its access restricted or be banned.

Stay legal

When submitting posts, users must follow all applicable regulatory requirements, including those related to medical device promotion, labeling, and off‑label discussions. This means that when using or submitting a post to the Site: FDA regulations restrict discussion of unapproved uses or promotional claims; SEC regulations prohibit sharing of or soliciting material non‑public information; and HIPAA and other privacy and data protection laws apply to any personal information.

When using this site, users must not:

  • post instructions that could lead to improper or unsafe product operation.
  • provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or medical advice.
  • request medical advice from other participants or moderators.
  • recommend off‑label uses of any product.
  • impersonate healthcare professionals, company staff, or other users.
  • share patient images, case details, dates, or identifiers.
  • upload clinical data unless fully de‑identified and compliant with privacy laws.
  • share confidential, proprietary, or non‑public information.
  • discuss Omnicell or other public company stock performance or make investment-related statements.

In addition,

Users may not post any pornographic or otherwise offensive material, share illegal or copyrighted content, attempt to distribute illegal substances, distribute viruses or other material which gives you access to the computers or systems of other users, or generally anything that is considered illegal by your country of residence.

No content may be submitted that is intended to promote or commit an illegal act or violate any customer’s terms of use with Omnicell products. Submissions that are illegal, copyrighted, or otherwise encourage, endorse, or perpetuate illegal activity must not be submitted and will be edited or removed.

Stay on topic

Please do not change the subject of a discussion to something not intended by the original poster. Any off-topic posting or “hijacking” of threads will result in content being removed and ultimately can cause users to be denied access to the community. Unless otherwise noted, do not post Submissions about non-technical topics, including discussion of Omnicell policies or procedures or Omnicell’s moderation of the Site.

No commercial use

Users may not use the forum for (commercial) activities such as the advertising or sale of products or services, the sending of commercial messages (spam), the offering of (interactive) games, the advertising of other chat forums or websites or any other type of commercial solicitation.

No sharing of Protected Health Information or personal information

DO NOT POST, UPLOAD, TRANSMIT, OR OTHERWISE DISCLOSE ANY PROTECTED HEALTH INFORMATION ("PHI"), including but not limited to information that identifies or could reasonably be used to identify an individual and relates to that individual’s past, present, or future physical or mental health condition, healthcare services, or payment for healthcare services.

PHI includes, without limitation:

  • Patient names, initials, or aliases;
  • Dates of birth, admission dates, discharge dates, or appointment dates;
  • Medical record numbers, account numbers, or insurance information;
  • Diagnostic information, treatment details, or clinical narratives linked to an identifiable individual;
  • Photographs, images, or recordings of patients; and
  • Any combination of data elements that could reasonably identify a patient.

Do not share personal information about yourself or others, including but not limited to:

  • Home addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or government‑issued identifiers;
  • Financial information or credentials;
  • Employment information; and
  • Any information subject to applicable privacy or data‑protection laws.

Users are responsible for ensuring that any information they share is shared in compliance with all applicable privacy, confidentiality, and data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), state consumer privacy and data protection laws (e.g., the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)), and any contractual, professional, or ethical confidentiality obligations.

No discussion of FDA-regulated products

FDA regulations limit what information can be disseminated by certain entities. In order to ensure Omnicell's compliance with FDA regulations, posts concerning FDA-regulated products (e.g., IV products) will be removed. This includes complaints concerning FDA-regulated products. Any such posts will be forwarded through the appropriate channels to be addressed directly by Omnicell.

No multiple accounts

It is not allowed to own multiple accounts on this community. If the Community Team detects double accounts, all secondary accounts will be banned.

Moderator actions

All posts may be moderated, edited, or removed or discussions closed to ensure compliance with these Terms. The Community Team reserves the right to change or remove content or to restrict access to or ban individual users at any time, should it be regarded as necessary, including as a result of, but not limited to, any violations of these Terms or unsafe discussions.

It is not allowed to discuss any Moderation actions in public, should you disagree with an action taken then please contact a Moderator or the Community Manager via private message.

Should you find any inappropriate or unsafe content on the Site notify the moderators.

User Feedback

While Omnicell appreciates your interest, we suggest that you do not submit any ideas to us, and we request that you never submit an idea or information that you consider to be confidential and/or proprietary. If you choose to provide any ideas, suggestions, proposals, or recommendations on this site regarding Omnicell’s products, technologies, or services ("Feedback"), Omnicell may use such Feedback and incorporate it in Omnicell products, technologies, and services without paying royalties and without any other obligations or restrictions.

By posting a Submission, you, and the organization you represent, agree to grant Omnicell an irrevocable, perpetual, fully paid, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide and fully sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, re-format, publish, translate, create derivative works of or from, distribute, perform, display, play, make available to the public, and exercise or otherwise commercially or non-commercially exploit in any manner, any and all Feeback and all copyright and publicity rights with respect to the Submission. If you do not want to grant Omnicell the rights set out above, do not send your Submission to the Site.

Omnicell Communication

When you use the Site, you also have the choice to receive certain communications from Omnicell in connection with the Site. Omnicell may respond to your post directly in the Site and, if the preferences you set permit it, Omnicell may attempt to contact you outside the Site via telephone, email, text message, or another method of communication. For example, you may receive reminder emails for posts if you have not visited the Site for a certain period of time, a reminder to respond to answers that have helped you or solved your questions, or a survey on improving the services offered at the Site. Be careful

Users are responsible for the accuracy of their content and posts are publicly visible. All users on this community are here to help; however, nobody can be held responsible for any negative consequences resulting out of information derived from this community.

Breach of the Agreement

If you fail to abide by these terms, Omnicell may remove your Submission. Omnicell may also send you an email informing you that your Submission has been deleted or edited. Repeated or inappropriate Submissions or disruptive behavior may result in your account being placed into temporary or permanent suspension, limiting your ability to participate in any or all of the areas on the Site.

Omnicell reserves the right to deactivate the Site, delete any Submission, or take action against any account, at any time, for any reason.

Privacy

All information that is collected, used, shared, and disclosed through this Site is subject to the Omnicell Privacy Policy.

All cookies and other tracking technologies collected on this forum are subject to the Omnicell Privacy Notice and the Omnicell Cookie Policy. Please review those policies for more information on the cookies and tracking technologies that we collect.
