Omnicell Joins Pharmacy Health Information Technology Collaborative
Omnicell, Inc. With members including industry leaders, stakeholders, and policy makers, the organization seeks to support the proliferation of meaningful use for Health IT. As the healthcare landscape becomes increasingly unpredictable, it is critical that care remain accessible and affordable. The Collaborative seeks to ensure HIT supports pharmacists in healthcare service delivery, achieves pharmacists’ integration within health information exchange and supports national quality initiatives enabled by HIT. Participation in this organization accurately reflects Omnicell’s corporate mission to revolutionize the patient medication experience and elevate the role of the pharmacist in all care settings.

The Collaborative utilizes workgroups and committees to make progress in the areas of billing, documentation, communication standardization, and EHRs. The Pharmacy HIT Collaborative supports pharmacists across all care settings, including those working in pharmacy education and education accreditation.
