MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.
Omnicell, Inc., (NASDAQ:OMCL) a leading provider of medication system solutions to acute healthcare facilities, today announced that KLAS, a prestigious third-party healthcare evaluation firm, awarded Omnicell's OmniRx® with the Category Leader distinction for Medication Dispensing - Decentralized for the fourth consecutive year.
"Omnicell prides itself on delivering product ingenuity that our customers appreciate and value," said J. Christopher Drew, senior vice president, field operations for Omnicell. "This is an honor for us, considering the fact that KLAS evaluated thousands of hospitals and clinic executives to come up with their rankings and determine the industry's highest levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty."
This year, Omnicell ranked highest in "buy again," "satisfaction with product uptime" and "functionality" to achieve the top overall ranking for their category. The company was honored with this award based on interviews KLAS conducted with executives from over 4500 hospitals and 2500 clinics. At this year's American Society of Hospital Pharmacists Conference (ASHP), Omnicell will receive recognition from KLAS for their industry achievement with an award given to Omnicell at booth #1418, at 3:00 p.m. on December 7 inside the ASHP conference hall.
"KLAS reports are created as the accurate, honest and impartial opinion of thousands of hospital and clinical executives on how they rank and value vendors," said Jason Hess, general manager, Clinical Research for KLAS. "For Omnicell to have achieved 'Category Leader' in the Med-Dispensing Decentralized segment, four years in a row, is quite an accomplishment and speaks to their strong commitment to their customers."
Out of the product categories recognized by KLAS, Omnicell achieved the highest amongst competition for "buy again." Ninety-four percent of hospital and clinical executives interviewed said they would repurchase Omnicell's medication dispensing cabinets.
