By labeling individually packaged medications with barcodes, the Omnicell barcode packaging system enables bedside medication administration solutions such as the Omnicell SafetyMed™ to perform barcode checking at the point-of-use.

• Supports patient specific dispensing with labeling and contiguous medication packaging
• Automatic packaging resume capability allows replenishment of medications or packaging supply without re-starting batch
• Automated Canister Recognition System (ACRS)
• Special Tray System (STS) allows pre-loading of infrequently used medications into a universal tray for in-line packaging with other canister medications–to need to stop production.
