The OmniCenter® is a server that centrally manages the day-to-day operations of Omnicell automated dispensing systems while providing access to product utilization and other essential reports to managers throughout the continuum of care.

The system collects and transfers data from multiple cabinets within the healthcare facility and manages the database of inventory, patient, and user information. In addition to capturing data from both supply and pharmacy dispensing systems, the OmniCenter acts as a platform for a variety of site-specific software applications interfaced to the facility's information system computers.

The OmniCenter connects to the dispensing systems via phone lines or a computer network, and its easy-to-use Microsoft® Windows® 2003 interface ensures rapid access to information. The system is composed of architectural building blocks that support the transaction volume of any size institution, from a long-term care facility to a large, acute-care facility. Database management and administration functions take place at the OmniCenter, allowing authorized users to quickly view and update information.

The system features more than 50 user-friendly, pre-defined reports that allow different users to extract and export information from a single database in detailed graph or summary form. To meet unique reporting requirements, users may also create custom reports that can improve cost accounting, productivity, and compliance, as well as optimize the distribution of supplies and medications.
