OptiFlex SS Surgical Services
Product Overview
Time consuming manual methods for operating room supply tracking leave materials management staff with little time to pull surgical supplies for the next day’s procedures. What’s more, you may be leaving money on the table when it comes to charge capture.
OptiFlex™ SS, one of three specialty hospital supply chain management systems from Omnicell, reduces manual work by automating the physician preference card system. It is also a perpetual inventory management system for the surgical services department that helps you accurately track costs of operating room supply items and keep inventory levels to a minimum.
Perpetual Inventory Management
OptiFlex SS creates a unique bar code for each surgical case based on physician, procedure, and patient.
- Items may be removed from inventory as they are pulled for a case based on the preference card.
- Inventory on hand balances are updated as surgical supplies are consumed on a case.
Improved Charge Capture
You’ll know exactly what operating room supply costs are incurred in each surgical case to ensure accurate charge capture.
