OptiFlex Procedure Systems

Product Overview

Omnicell XT Series | Supply ADCs

When you have clear visibility into medical supply use and spending patterns, you can better control costs and manage inventory. Health care facilities may reduce supply chain costs from 5% to 15% by improving analysis, planning, and control of supplies.

Designed for the OR and procedure areas, the OptiFlex point-of-use hospital supply chain system empowers you with the information and control needed to make an impact.

Be Ready for Unique Device Identifier (UDI) Tracking

The FDA has started requiring medical device manufacturers to put unique device identifiers (UDI) on their products. Health care providers need to be able to track the product UDIs throughout their inventory distribution processes—from item receipt to use on the patient.

Unlike other point-of-use systems for medical supplies, OptiFlex CL (Cath Lab) and OptiFlex SS (Surgical Services) are designed to enable UDI chain of custody tracking, starting with version 12.0.

  • With a single scan you can easily parse and capture lot, serial number, and expiration date off the package bar code at point of care.
  • The ability to identify a device, associate it to a patient, and document it in the electronic health record (EHR) can greatly improve recall handling, which is especially critical for implantable devices.

Improve Supply Management Throughout the Healthcare Facility

OptiFlex systems work with open shelves, secured Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets, or a combination of the two. As supplies are issued they are recorded by patient, making charge capture effortless and accurate.

OptiFlex systems include:

Surgical Services (SS) – A perpetual inventory management system with automated physician preference cards

Cath Lab (CL) – Ideal for laboratory and materials management

Medical Surgical (MS) – For managing medical supplies on nursing units
