Omnicell Board Members Have a Broad Base of Experience in the Healthcare Industry

  • Randall Lipps

    Randall A. Lipps

    Randall A. Lipps founded Omnicell in September 1992 and has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since that time. He assumed the additional role of President and Chief Executive Officer in 2002 and has provided the leadership for Omnicell's business expansion. After taking on the day-to-day operations of the company, he brought in a well-known Silicon Valley management team and has focused the company on growth and technology leadership. Since 2003, Omnicell has been recognized as one of the top 150 Silicon Valley companies, as measured by market capitalization, by the San Jose Mercury News. Prior to founding Omnicell, Mr. Lipps served as the Senior Vice President at ST Holdings, a travel and marketing company. He received a B.S. in Economics and a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

  • Mary E. Foley

    Mary E. Foley

    Mary E. Foley has served as a Director of Omnicell since May 2005. Ms. Foley is the Associate Director of the Center for Research and Innovation in Patient Care at the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing. Formerly the President of both the American Nurses Association and the California Nurses Association, Ms. Foley has more than 30 years of experience in patient care and nursing education. She worked as a staff nurse and Director of Nursing at Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco for nearly 20 years and has been a member of the clinical and graduate faculty at the San Francisco State University School of Nursing. Ms. Foley has a diploma in nursing from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, a B.S. in Nursing from the Boston University School of Nursing, and an M.S. in Nursing Administration and Occupational Health from the University of California, San Francisco School of Nursing.

    Ms. Foley serves on the advisory board of the Partnership for Patient Safety and the board of directors of the National Patient Safety Foundation.

  • James T. Judson

    James T. Judson

    James T. Judson has served as a Director of Omnicell since April 2006. Mr. Judson joined Omnicell in February 2005 as Vice President, Finance and was appointed Executive Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer in April of that year. He then served as Omnicell’s Vice President, Corporate Development from March through July of 2006. Mr. Judson has over 20 years of financial management experience, most of it with Sun Microsystems, Inc., a computer software and platform company. He served as Vice President of Finance and Planning for the worldwide operations group of Sun Microsystems from 1998 until his retirement from the company in January 2002. Mr. Judson received a B.S. in Industrial Management from Purdue University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University.

  • Randy Lindholm

    Randy Lindholm

    Randy Lindholm has served as a Director of Omnicell since May 2003. Previously, Mr. Lindholm was the Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of VidaMed, Inc., a maker of minimally invasive medical device products that treat the urological condition of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Earlier, he served as VidaMed’s Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, Mr. Lindholm held senior field operations positions at Nellcor Puritan Bennett, a provider of solutions to diagnose, monitor, and treat the respiratory-impaired patient. Mr. Lindholm began his career in 1977 with GE Medical Systems, serving in a variety of increasingly senior sales positions, culminating with West Region Product Sales Manager. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Tech University.

    Mr. Lindholm also serves on the boards of BARRx, Inc., Crux Biomedical, Tibion, Estech and Novasys.

  • Gary S. Petersmeyer

    Gary S. Petersmeyer

    Gary S. Petersmeyer has served as a Director of Omnicell since January 2007. Mr. Petersmeyer is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aesthetic Sciences Corporation, a research-based medical device company focusing on elective surgery applications. Prior to joining Aesthetic Sciences Corporation in 2004, he provided consulting and executive coaching services to senior executives in high-growth and research-based organizations. Previously, Mr. Petersmeyer was President and a Director of Pherin Pharmaceuticals, and he was President, Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of Collagen Corporation, a medical technology company focused on worldwide collagen research. Before that, Mr. Petersmeyer held several senior executive positions at Syntex Corporation, Beta Phase, Inc., and Coopervision, Inc. Mr. Petersmeyer has a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University, an M.A. in Teaching from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

    Mr. Petersmeyer also serves on the boards of Percys, Inc. and RoxRo Pharmaceuticals.

  • Don Wegmiller

    Donald C. Wegmiller

    Donald C. Wegmiller has served as a Director of Omnicell since May 2004. Mr. Wegmiller is Chairman of the Healthcare Group of Clark Consulting, a firm with expertise in executive compensation and benefit design, financing and plan administration. Previously, he served as Vice President and President of HealthSpan Health Systems Corporation, Minnesota’s largest healthcare network. Earlier, Mr. Wegmiller was a Chairman Officer of the American Hospital Association, serving in 1987 as the organization's Chairman, the highest elected office. He also has been named a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Mr. Wegmiller received both his bachelor's degree and master's degree in Health Administration from the University of Minnesota.

  • Sara J. White

    Sara J. White

    Sara J. White has served as a Director of Omnicell since April 2003. Ms. White is a Clinical Professor in the School of Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. Previously, she served as Director of Pharmacy and Administrative Director for Clinical Nutrition at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. Before that, Ms. White was Program Director in an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited specialty residency in hospital pharmacy administration. She received a B.S. from Oregon State University and an M.S. in Hospital Pharmacy Management from Ohio State University. Ms. White is a Fellow of ASHP.

  • Joseph E. Whitters

    Joseph E. Whitters

    Joseph E. Whitters has served as a Director of Omnicell since May 2003. Mr. Whitters is Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer for First Health, a $2.5 billion market capitalization managed healthcare company serving the group health, workers compensation, and state agency markets. He has almost 20 years of experience in senior financial management positions for healthcare corporations. Prior to joining First Health in 1986, he served as Controller for the largest subsidiary of United HealthCare Corp. Mr. Whitters holds a B.A. in Accounting from Luther College.

  • William H. Younger, Jr.

    William H. Younger, Jr.

    William H. Younger, Jr. has served as a Director of Omnicell since September 1992. Mr. Younger is a Managing Director of Sutter Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm, where he has been employed since 1981. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Mr. Younger also serves on the boards of Cardica, Inc. and several privately held companies.
